The Sioux Falls School District is pleased to announce the launch of its Free Summer Meal Program, aimed at ensuring no child goes hungry during the summer break. The program starts on May 28th and runs through August 9th, 2024, providing nutritious meals to all children aged 0-18 at no cost.
Program Details:
No meals will be served on Thursday, July 4th.
Breakfast will be served at six designated schools from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, Monday to Friday.
Lunch at eight designated schools will be served from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
The participating schools serving breakfast and lunch are as follows:
Terry Redlin - 1721 E. Austin St.
Anne Sullivan - 3701 E. 3rd St.
Sonia Sotomayor - 1510 S. Lake Ave.
Robert Frost - 3101 S. 4th Ave.
Hayward - 400 N. Valley View Rd.
JFK - 4501 S. Holbrook Ave.
Lunch only will be served at:
Garfield - 705 S. Roberts Dr. (ends August 2)
Hawthorne - 601 N. Spring Ave. (ends August 2)
No paperwork is necessary to participate in this vital community program. The Sioux Falls School District encourages families to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure their children receive balanced meals throughout the summer.
