Sioux Falls, SD - March 13, 2023

The students and staff at MMS are excited to announce the upcoming Milk Madness event from March 14th-28th. This head-to-head competition between 32 teachers is designed to raise money for The Banquet, which uses over 40 gallons of milk per day.

During the event, each teacher involved will have a milk jug in which students can donate money to support their favorite staff member. The teacher with the most donations at the end of each round will move on to the next round, with the overall winner enduring an unpleasant experience.

"We're excited to bring Milk Madness to our school and engage our students in a fun and creative way to support our Banquet," said Tina Sayasavan, faculty leader of the Student Council organizing the event. "Not only will it be a fun competition, but it will also help us raise the funds to provide milk for The Banquet."

The Milk Madness event will take place over five rounds, with the first round beginning on March 14th-15th, followed by subsequent rounds on March 16th-17th, 20th-21st, 22nd-23rd, and 24th, 27th, and 28th. Students can find the milk jugs by the trophy case at all lunches to donate and can track the progress of the competition on the Student Council bulletin board near the counseling office.

All money raised during the event will go directly toward purchasing milk for the Banquet, which is a crucial component of the event. "We're so grateful for the support of our students and staff in making this event a success," said Erin Burnham, another faculty adviser of the Student Council . "We can't wait to see which Mustang will take home the title!"
